Finding Your Fit

Advance your sewing knowledge and skill in this 6 week garment construction class

  • Learn how to take proper measurements, and use them to make simple alterations to your pattern
  • Make a muslin (practice garment), to help you see what alterations need to be made
  • Learn adjustment strategies, to help you get that perfect fit, including slash & pivot, bust adjustments, sway back, and pattern grading
  • Finally finish with a pattern and garment that fits you properly, with the guidance of an experienced teacher
  • Students will also receive a %15 discount to our Sewing Skills Workshop to provide more time to work on projects.

This is a Tester Class which means we are offering it at a reduced price until we get some of the "kinks" worked out (figuring out the flow of the class, determining how much time is needed to teach skills, getting feedback on how to improve). We want to give our students the best experience possible, and you can help by participating in tester classes.

This is an intermediate class

What you need: A pattern and all the fabric/notions required to complete it, plus extra fabric (similar weight and drape to your good fabric but cheaper) for your muslin. All equipment is provided in the studio
